Guest Post: Design Shuffle
Hello lovely TBS readers. I’m delighted to share with you all a very special guest post by Susi from the fabulous website Design Shuffle. How exciting! Thanks so much for dropping by TBS and sharing your insights with us Susi.
Hi all, Iām Susi, a writer for Design Shuffle, a fantastic social media site that showcases the work of designers from around the world. I’m lucky enough to virtually visit amazing design blogs and designers around the world like The Beautiful Soup. Hello from US! I’m excited to be (virtually) visiting this week to guest post about wood on the bedroom wall. Behind a bed, a wood wall creates a very chic focal point that can be traditional, contemporary or rustic… or all of the above. Here are eight of my favorite bedroom decorating ideas that feature wood on the wall. Enjoy!
Wood on a bedroom wall can have a vintage feel that is more chic than kitsch. More than simple wood paneling, this wood wall creates a beautiful architectural detail.
This gorgeous dark stained alder wall is so chic. Love the oversized houndstooth patterned headboard against the wood grain of the wall.
Driftwood colored wood sets a moody tone for this bedroom that is accented by the art and lamps. Love the weathered feeling to the wood wall.
A slight sheen to the surface of this dark wood wall reflects the light in this bedroom in a lovely way. Paired with neutral textiles, the wall is the focal point of this bedroom design.
Reclaimed wood has so much built-in character. Add it to a wall and the entire room will have a rustic charm that can be contemporary, industrial or farmhouse depending on accessories and textiles.
A wood wall behind the bed is the perfect accent wall in a boy’s bedroom. It creates a vintage masculine feel when paired with sporting accessories.
This wood wall conceals built-in storage surrounding the bed. With a wood ceiling, the wood wall makes for a cozy feeling bedroom.
Plywood on the wall can be surprisingly chic in a contemporary space. A single wall covered in stained plywood would be a great accent wall for modern bedroom designs. It would even look great in any kitchen design!
